Floating for back pain

Around 70 to 80 percent of back pain is caused by muscular tension. The weightless environment relieves strain on the muscles and ensures optimal spinal alignment, thereby releasing tension and effectively alleviating pain.

Floating for anxiety disorders

The non-stimulating environment reduces overstimulation and calms the nervous system, allowing you to specifically alleviate anxiety symptoms. Feel safe in anxiety-provoking situations.

Floating for depression

Depression can significantly impact everyday life. Floating creates a safe environment that offers physical and mental relaxation, helping to release emotional blockages and promote positive perspectives.

For a healthy life

Floating offers you a therapeutic accompaniment that does not require medication. It relies solely on salt and water and offers you a safe and private retreat. In Scandinavia, floating is already an integral part of society.

Frequently Asked Questions

No, floating is not currently covered by statutory health insurance through their regular benefits package. However, you can submit an additional application to your insurance provider for partial reimbursement.

For therapeutic purposes, we recommend scheduling 2-3 float sessions initially. With each session, you'll become more familiar with the environment and be able to utilize the full potential of floating. For therapeutic applications, the optimal frequency depends on the individual diagnosis and consultation with your doctor. However, studies show that regular floats at short daily to weekly intervals produce the best results.

If you're already familiar with floating and need an appointment for specific health reasons, please email us at schweben@float-stuttgart.de. We'll get back to you promptly.

Dr. Justin FeinsteinDirector LIBR Float Clinic & Research Center

After the float session, I spoke with a patient who told me, 'You know, even if this feeling only lasts an hour, just knowing that I'm capable of feeling like that again was worth it.' It's impressive to hear such a perspective from a patient.

Dr. med. Johannes SchauweckerSpecialist in Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery | Munich

"Based on the available data, the medical use of floating for spinal complaints can be recommended."

Veteran with Posttraumatic Stress DisorderAnonymous

"I couldn't stop the constant fight-or-flight feelings and didn't want to take the medications offered to me by the Veterans Affairs office. When I started floating, those feelings disappeared."
